A Columbia, SC native, Pasquail Bates, is a mother, educator and a product of Richland School District Two’s schools. Bates graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 1997 and then went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications (2001).
In 2004, Bates graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education. She entered the realm of education by teaching and coaching in Kershaw County. Bates followed by obtaining another Master’s degree in 2008 from the University of South Carolina in Educational Administration and graduating Cum Laude once again. In 2008, Bates landed back in Richland School District Two as an Administrator at Ridge View High School. Bates currently serves as the Assistant Principal in the district’s newest high school, Westwood.
Throughout Bates’ career, she has served in many organizations, received many accolades, and presented at national and regional conferences: Special Education Department Chair, Administrator of the Month, Dean’s and President’s lists, Council for Exceptional Children and South Carolina Association for School Administrators, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to name a few.
In 2017, Bates decided to take a leap of faith and create her own brand and clothing line. The mission of The Faith 2 Hustle brand is to provide women and girls with the power, purpose, and platform to live their best life. In the Faith 2 Hustle Empire, there is a mentorship program, clothing line, and a strong social media and marketing following. With the support of family and friends, Bates plans to expand her empire in 2017-2018 to include clothing and accessories for men and children.
