SC Top 20 Under 40
Katherine Myers, a Columbia native with passion, personality and promise, graduated valedictorian from C.A. Johnson Preparatory Academy (2006). She attended Furman University as a Herman Lay Scholar (full academic scholarship) where she won the College Mock Trial All-American Attorney Award, served as President of the SC Youth & College Division of the NAACP, and pledged AKA. With a BA degree in Political Science, she earned a JD from USC School of Law and was sworn into the SC Bar in 2014.
Katherine served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Donald Beatty of the SC Supreme Court. She is currently an Attorney for the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
As founder of SC Community Uplift Foundation, Katherine engages the next generation to “serve, lead and succeed”. She is the daughter of Emma McGraw Myers and Kenneth E. Myers, Sr. Her brother Kenneth, Jr. is a state trooper.
