Jasmine Mix

Jasmine Mix has a true passion for seeing students succeed. Ms. Mix received her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and English from the prestigious North Carolina A&T State University. She also has a master’s degree in Elementary Education.  Ms. Mix has worked effortlessly to impact students’ lives in Guilford County, Chapel-Hill City, and Richland School District 2. Ms. Mix has also served as Secretary for the North Carolina Association of Educators, President of Kappa Delta Pi, a school poverty coach, appointed mentor to new teachers and currently serves on the School Leadership Committee for Richland School District 2.

Since the launch of Books With Barbers, the organization has fully established 32 shops across the state of South Carolina in just nine short weeks. The organization has captured the attention of Governor Nikki Haley and Mayor Steve Benjamin. Most recently, Jasmine has been offered to chair Mayor Benjamin’s Barbershop Books initiative.
