James Anderson

James Anderson was raised in Columbia, SC.  He served four years in the Air Force as a Maintenance Analyst, which includes a deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan.  James was named the 2011 Maintenance Analyst of the Year at Moody Air Force Base.

In 2013, he transitioned to the Air Force Reserves to enroll at the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Political Science and was a member of Air Force ROTC.  Upon graduating cum laude, he commissioned as a second lieutenant in 2015.  James is an active Gamecock alumnus, and is currently launching the Veterans Alumni Council for USC’s My Carolina Alumni Association.

James is currently a Governmental Affairs Intern with the SC Association of School Administrators.  Additionally, James is a graduate student at American University in the Master of International Relations program.  He will pursue a career as an Air Force Intelligence Officer in July of this year.
