Alana Simmons is a Realtor with Keller Williams and the Founding President of Hate Won’t Win Movement, Inc. in Columbia, SC. After tragically losing her grandfather in the “Mother” Emmanuel AME Church shooting, Alana, a former educator, shifted to being a dual career realtor and community advocate. Through her business, Alana helps clients buy and sell real estate and through her non-profit Alana works with individuals, organizations and companies to find new ways to advocate for unity through demonstrations of love. Alana believes her business and non-profit are both ministries she is honored to work in order to be a blessing to her community.

Alana has been honored by many, most notably The King Center, Public Allies, The Anti-Defamation League and Hampton University. Her work has landed coverage in Essence, Glamour and Time magazines in addition to CNN, NBC, FOX, ABC and the Steve Harvey Show. In addition to her extensive work in real estate and community advocacy, Alana shares her story with thousands as a motivational speaker hosted by several organizations and events including the YMCA, Harvard University, and her annual “Walk for Unity” in Charleston, SC.

Alana holds a BA in Music Education from Elizabeth City State University and a MA in Music Education from Norfolk State University.
