Visionaries Behind The Page

In 1990, Darrin Thomas, and his former partner, Gerry McCants, founded Thomas-McCants Media, Incorporated (TMG)  – known throughout the southeast market as Black Pages USA. The purpose of the Black Pages publications is to give exposure and visibility to the minority, especially African American, owned firms, as well as Fortune® 500 companies that desire to target and reach these firms and consumers. The Black Pages concept started over 30 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, and today is published in 30 cities and metropolitan areas throughout the United States.

In 2008, Mr. Thomas formed Thomas Media Group, LLC, headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina. TMG operates offices in Charleston, Columbia, and Upstate (Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson), South Carolina, and Jacksonville, Florida.

Our Mission

The Mission of Black Pages South is to encourage, support, and facilitate economic empowerment of the African American community through the development of a strategic local business network, educational initiatives, and communication ventures. Through actualization of this mission, SC Black Pages & Jacksonville First Coast Black Pages reach all segments of the African American Community, including – but not limited to – youth, retirees, and the working class.
