Douglas has a heart wired for cyber security and encouragement. His goal is to share knowledge and uplift others towards purpose, locally and nationally. In March 2016, Douglas made national headlines when he was interviewed by Black Enterprise’s technology editor, Samara Lynn, about being an African American in Cyber Security. In August 2016, Samara Lynn extended an offer to Douglas in regards to becoming a Black Enterprise guest editor for articles revolving around online security.
Locally, Douglas co-founded 9thBridge.org. This organization consists of monthly accountability sessions that uplift and celebrate its members. Aside from the meetings, 9thbridge.org acts as a digital bridge between under-represented minority businesses and the city of Jacksonville. Based on the foundation of selflessness and accountability, 9th Bridge Jacksonville aims to enhance the minority business community by tipping over the “crab-pot” mentality in order to inspire others to meet at the intersection of cultivation and purpose.
