The City of Columbia to Host Community Meeting Regarding New Zoning Ordinance

//The City of Columbia to Host Community Meeting Regarding New Zoning Ordinance

WHAT: The City of Columbia is rewriting its Zoning and Land Development Ordinance. The process began in 2014 when the City of Columbia and Richland County gathered extensive community input to shape long-term plans for growth. The rewrite will ensure the City’s regulations are aligned with those plans, reflect contemporary zoning best practices, and are more user-friendly.

The project team has completed an assessment of the current regulations and has proposed a direction for the new regulations. Come learn about the effort and share your thoughts on how to improve the regulations that govern how and where we develop.
